There are many ways to make the most out of Big Sky Real Estate opportunities and Eric prides himself in knowing how to navigate them. From his role in helping to creat perpetual trail easements throughout Big Sky, to his 14 years of service on the Gallatin Canyon/Big Sky Zoning Advisory Board, Eric has a unique and in depth knowledge of the area. It is this knowledge that serves as the platform for helping his clients make informed real estate decisions.
A Big Sky realtor for over 23 years, Eric has served as the exclusive listing agent for the ski in ski out lots in Boyne’s Cascade Highlands, developed a sales plan for and sold out the Spanish Peaks Club Condominiums and listed, sold and further subdivided some of the largest tracts of land to ever convey in Big Sky. Eric is known for his attention to detail, and historic knowledge of the Big Sky area and market.
Our goal is to do much more than sell a property. We like to guide a buyer or seller through the process – from assessing zoning rights, access and easements issues, to understanding and feeling comfortable with today’s variable market conditions. It’s the little nuances that are so important but are easily overlooked. It is important to ensure for the buyer a seamless transaction that doesn’t come back to haunt them later.
In terms of sales, Eric ranks amongst the top Big Sky agents and consistently matches the right people to the right properties. This might range from a Meadow or Mountain home, condo or lot, to a recent $12 million sale in the Yellowstone Club – one of the highest priced homes to ever sell there, and the first major sale after the YC emerged from bankruptcy. Eric has maintained his rank in the top 3% of all Berkshire Hathaway Agents nationwide during the ongoing recession.
Eric attended the Greenwich Country Day School, Saint Mark’s School, Vassar College as well the Wharton School and the University of Olso, Norway. Prior to his relocation to Big Sky in 1993, he was a Broker with Cushman and Wakefield of New York. He served several terms on the Gallatin Canyon Zoning Advisory Board for 14 years, where he was an original appointee for the Gallatin County Commission upon implementation of the Gallatin County/Big Sky Zoning District in 1996, and he is a member of the Gallatin Association of Realtors and MLS. Eric was appointed by Governor Bullock to the Montana Board of Realty Regulation as an Industry Member. Eric has also been appointed to and serves on the Gallatin County Tax Review Board. He is fluent in French and Norwegian. He and his wife Stacy have three post college aged children all of whom attended the Ophir School, and they remain full time residents of Big Sky. Eric and Stacy do not compete with their clients by trading in Real Estate.
